I got my house back today. My playlist was cranked, my office doors were shut and for five glorious hours, I got lost in a story I absolutely adore.

*happy sigh*

I love my job. Now, to start getting paid for it...

So, I haven't been writing much these last two weeks. My head has been on summer vacation, I've had massive upheavals in my regular writing routine and a kid with a summer cold to boot. Over 5K of them total, so far. Chapter 1 is done, and that's always my biggest challenge. I know I'll be tweaking it, but the framework is there, and I had fun with the writing. Thank heavens, because what would be the point otherwise? It sure isn't a get rich quick scheme.
